Update from Canada

Today I had my first ever poster presentation... after a full morning of fretting and worrying and letting anticipatory anxiety get the better of me (my specialty), the session came... and went... with little fanfare or interest at all really. I didn't get to hand out any of my fancy-shmancy new business cards because only the person who already knows me was interested in stopping to talk about my poster. But that's okay... because I realized that my new fancy-shmancy business cards... all 250 of them... have the wrong phone number on them! Seriously. I apparently wasn't paying good enough attention when I got the proof back from my designer and okayed it without making sure the number was correct. So annoying!
The conference itself is going okay. It's funny to see the real, live-in-person people whose articles I have been reading for years, and great to be able to sit and have discussions with people who know what I'm talking about and don't get it confused with something else. The sessions are running LONG, though, so we ran 90 minutes over this evening. I'm exhausted!
I think it's time to hit the pool/hot tub/sauna while I wait for Heather to return from her visit to see her sister.
***This marks the first time in our 11 1/2 year relationship that we've ever been in different COUNTRIES! Yikes! No worries, however, she'll be back in about an hour! Hooray!

Welcome to this side of the pond!

I've done the same thing with my business cards, only for me it was that I totally fudged up the French side. And then I gave the card out to mostly French people before being told about my errors.

Yikes!

Welcome to our blog! This is our place to keep track of what's going on in our lives as we try to have a baby. We have been together for eleven years and trying to have a baby for more than two years. In 2006 we were legally married in a beautiful ceremony with ten bridesmaids and twelve small children!
Together, we try to get outside, play with our Diggity-Dog, rest, relax, and enjoy life!
Separately, Heather works hard as a nanny and Kathryn goes to school and does practicum work in her field of psychology (this means she works hard for free!).
